January 1st 2005 - Happy new year from RaccisWorld. New menu

RaccisWorld loves you. And here is the new RaccisWorld menu. The Cube being archived in a dedicated page under Other Things we now have the pleasure of presenting you our new, deliciously fragmented interface. Beautiful isn't it? January 2nd 2005 - New FanArt creations

Rael, our Avatar number one, did it again. Visit the FanArt page to witness the digital editing of three unreleased Raccis shots dating last Halloween. Mmm, new gothic.

January 3rd 2005 - New items for the new year - for you at RaccisShop

The Black & White Raccis Logo is now also available on a button (and of course on a magnet too, in the way we're accustomed). Don't miss our new Presidential Teddy Bear, the tender plush supporting an alternative choice for the free world (and the non-free too).

January 6th 2005 - Happy Epiphany. Yellow alert at RaccisShop

RaccisWorld loves you and wraps up the holiday season with a new button-magnet combo and a new t-shirt design for both him and her - of course in the RaccisShop. The "road sign" theme of the Grinning Raccis Logo gains a new meaning.

January 13th 2005 - RaccisWord's Log 7

Riccardo Raccis has written another Log. Jump to RaccisWord to peek at the plans for 2005 and enjoy an example of what's going on at the moment in the RaccisWorld community.

January 14th 2005 - Il Paradosso di Plazzi on Vigata.org

Luigi Paulon, known as Don Peppone in the Camilleri Fans Club mailing list, is the author of a review to Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) which is now featured on Vigata.org and can be read here. Paulon is planning to interview Raccis in the near future. Stay tuned.

January 18th 2005 - New interesting website in RaccisRing

Francesco Salvadori, our official composer and a 360 degrees mind, makes a debut as a web designer with his official website of artistic experimentation and other things, Strade Morte (the blog of the same name is still alive and well). The site also features L'enigma della Ziqqurat, the pro-Raccis short story confidentially known as Google's Ultimate Nightmare. Part of the RaccisRing.

January 20th 2005 - New RaccisShop section. RaccisGallery updated

Francesca Giannetto kicks off Requested by You, the new RaccisShop section dedicated to the items you'd always have liked to see. Francesca translated for us the "Raccis who" slogs to the dialect of her hometown, Messina. Email here If you've got an idea for the new RaccisWorld product.

Rael sent us a rare picture dating back lo last October. If memory doesn't fail us this is the only known image featuring both this über-fan and the man himself. Available in the Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) RaccisGallery.

January 21st 2005 - "Re:" out in the bookstores

They tell us issue 0 of "Re:", the magazine spawning from international Project Re:, will be out in the bookstores starting this weekend. Featuring Carlos, the unreleased Riccardo Raccis short story about remorse and missed scorching answers. Hurry buying your copy - total run is 300. After that,

January 23rd 2005 - RaccisShop still expanding

RaccisShop adds another new section. Home and Office, dedicated to all the those things that can  improve your life in your home and your office. Inside is our classic line of "Raccis who" mugs as well as a number of new entries: a soft pillow and, also available in Requested by You, two mouse pads with the Grinning Raccis Logo on and a sticker featuring RaccisBits' sun.

Raccis on Strade Morte and Thrillermagazine

Raccis lent his voice and camera to expanding Strade Morte, the alienating website of non-fun by Francesco Salvadori. Inside the Immagini section of Strade Morte you can find Latte (Milk), a Flash movie to which Raccis lends his vocal talent to illustrate a new standard in advertising. Don't miss the photo service - especially the picture of Raccis and Salvadori, also available for you in the RaccisGallery.

Luigi Paulon, already the author of a review to Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) featured on Vigata.org, comes back to review our man on Thrillermagazine.it. Yay Luigi. Go Luigi.

January 31st 2005 - La Tela Nera enters RaccisRing

La Tela Nera, another website sharing RaccisWorld's relaxing chromatic choices, is now part of RaccisRing. The La Tela Nera folks are responsible for an online interview to Raccis which should see the light next week. Stay tuned.

February 4th 2005 - RaccisWorld's welcome message

YES, boys and girls. Starting today a welcome message can be found in RaccisWorld's welcome page, featuring Riccardo Raccis sided by Giuliano Billi and Jacopo Corazza, two of the front actors in the burgeoning Florence music scene. Check out the subtle differences between English and Italian version.

February 10th 2005 - La Tela Nera interviews Raccis

La Tela Nera, the full-spectrum black culture website which recently joined RaccisRing, now hosts an interview to Raccis for the L'Appeso column. The interview, graced by some Halloween portraits of Raccis', has been released online and touches points such as literature, the world of publishing and who would win in a Lemmy vs. John Constantine fight. Also read the review to Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox), still by the La Tela Nera staff.

February 11th 2005 - "Re:" out in the bookstores... again

Remember issue 0 of "Re:", the magazine from Project Re:, which we announced to be out soon January 21st? Fear not if you haven't been able to find it in the bookstores. The Project Re: folks tells us the publication has been delayed to February 15th (so now you know when to rush to the bookstores). February 15th 2005 - Rael launches RaccisWorld's official forum

Rael is back... yet again. Yesterday our Avatar number 1 launched RaccisForum, the first online forum dedicated to Riccardo Raccis (and other things). Raccis has been nominated co-administrator and ultra-experimental, by-the-fans-for-the-fans RaccisForum is now RaccisWorld's official forum. February 27th 2005 - A clip kicks off  RaccisGallery: Raccis and Friends

We have a new RaccisGallery, uniquely dedicated to the universe of Raccis' friends and collaborators. The video of a sushi-based dinner with Rael and Francesco Salvadori kicks off the new section. Enjoy your meal.

March 2nd 2005 - Raccis in the Ponte Magico Award jury

The 2005 edition of the Ponte Magico Award will see Riccardo Raccis among the eight jurors. This year's theme for the award, now at its third edition, is "I". Check back the award's website for updates.

March 3rd 2005 - New RaccisGallery images from the Ponte Magico Award

New images from two days ago's press conference presenting the Ponte Magico Award. They're a new solo portrait of Raccis in the main RaccisGallery and, in RaccisGallery: Raccis and Friends, two nice photos of Raccis, Alessio Valsecchi from La Tela Nera and Rael sampling the event's atmosphere.

March 15th 2005 - Corporate Gear at RaccisShop

Do you love the corporate feel of Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) too? RaccisShop gets a new section: Corporate Gear, where you can find all official Vox International and Rosetta 2000 gear (of course all this only makes sense to you if you read the Paradox - in which case buying corporate gear is of course a must ;) ).

March 17th 2005 - RaccisForum added to the menu

RaccisForum, our Rael's pro-Raccis creation, enters RaccisWorld's menu and the shards further shatter to embrace it. Keep a regular eye on RaccisForum for the latest from the Raccis community. The community ranges from members of Rome's Saint Raccis' Chain to some of the men who inspired the Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) characters. RaccisForum - now accessible from everywhere in RaccisWorld (well, almost).

March 19th 2005 - RaccisContest: A Slogan for RaccisWorld

RaccisWorld wants you. We need an official slogan (or maybe more than one) and who better than you all out there for this mission? So jump now in the dedicated thread within RaccisForum and post your best slogans. They can be in Italian, English or what you want and about Raccis, RaccisWorld o whatever else might be inherent and sound cool. Raccis will be reading and picking from the heap the ones to end up constituting RaccisWorld's official slogan pool.

April 6th 2005 - Riccardo Raccis is back to RaccisWord for the sequel to Log 8

Raccis wrote Log 9 for RaccisWord, in which he pays his respects to another recently deceased personality and talks about things with strange names. From a statistical point of view this could mean eons without a new log, so go read it.

April 8th 2005 - FanMail fixed. Problems with the Newsletter

The good news: the FanMail is back online. The bad news: all of RaccisWorld's email account datas have been reset in the process, that including the Newsletter's addresses. The results: we have to rebuild the Newsletter from scratch. If you were subscribed you have to subscribe again. If you know someone who was subscribed please tell them. We apologize for the event.

April 10th 2005 - La Maury in the RaccisRing

We support her and she's one of us now. La Maury, a blogstar from the Splinder community, joins the RaccisRing and reminds you of all things pink, smiling and plumpinessful that lie in each one of you.

April 19th 2005 - New clip for Raccis and Friends

April 11th a dinner was held in Florence featuring some of the most prominent RaccisForum users. Our video camera was there to testify the event. Enjoy the new clip at Raccis and Friends.

April 28th 2005 - Random slogans in the welcome page

We have the first results from our RaccisContest: A Slogan for RaccisWorld. The first two winners are raccisians Francesco Salvadori - known at RaccisForum as AMboy - and Goddess of Thunder, with their slogans "Raccis: ed č subito moda" ("Raccis: instant fashion") and "RaccisWorld: not just for breakfast anymore". Both slogans are enjoyable, in a random rotation together with nine more made in Raccis, from here to eternity on the welcome page. The Contest goes on.

April 30th 2005 - Log 10 at RaccisWord

May 10th 2005 - RaccisBlog launched

We launched RaccisBlog. What's RaccisBlog? It's a blog (duh) where we decided to gather the best minds in the Splinder blogsphere to see what we can do of/with them. We don't know yet what exactly the experiment will evolve into, but a number of very talented persons locked together in a dark room might be a good picture to work on.

May 12th 2005 - Francesco Salvadori once again writes of Raccis. RaccisBlog update

Francesco Salvadori, the man who composed the soundtrack to RaccisWorld, is now a part of RaccisBlog with the field name of AMboy, and he's ready to delight you with his piece about lust, the current RB fil rouge. May 19th 2005 - RaccisBlog products at RaccisShop

RaccisBlog's own logo and slogan are now available at RaccisShop, cause they're cute. Logo T-shirts are available in two versions, with text in red tv static and solid white.

May 25th 2005 - Riccardo Raccis at Ponte Magico Award ceremony

Raccis will be present at the Ponte Magico awarding ceremony, June 25th in Lavena Ponte Tresa, Varese. More news as we get them.

May 30th 2005 - Raccis as guest vocalist in L'Insolita Compilation

Raccis wrote and acted out the lyrics for Sala d'Attesa (Waiting Room), one of the songs Francesco Salvadori composed for L'Insolita Compilation (The Unusual Compilation), the collective musical project stemming from Gianni Maroccolo's forum and Maroccolo-patronized. L'Insolita Compilation is due to be out September 20th in a 2000-cd, 300-vynil run, both in Italy and abroad. An all-star presentation tour will follow featuring a selection of the album's many artists. Visit the Compilation's official blog for the artists' official updates.

June 15th 2005 - Concerning Internet, Rolling Stone's Raccis-column

YES, boys and girls. The rumours are true. The new issue of Rolling Stone Italia, out Monday 20th (five days! Yay!) will feature the first article of Concerning Internet, the new regular column in which Riccardo Raccis will be monthly touching the most sublime, repulsive, and generally interesting aspects of... yes... Internet. (yes, this means another article next month etcetera)

June 16th 2005 - Details for the Ponte Magico awarding ceremony. Raccis in Varese

The Ponte Magico awarding ceremony will take place Saturday 25th in Lavena Ponte Tresa (Varese), piazza Sangiorgio (or, in case of rain, in the town gym) at 9 p.m. Plus, still Saturday, Raccis will be present at 7 p.m. at "Un Ponte per Ponte Magico", a meeting of the Abrigliasciolta series, in Varese, where he'll be reading some excerpts from Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox). The coordinates are 8 via Albuzzi, Varese. Northern fans: join en masse.

June 20th 2005 - Rolling Stone out. Concerning Internet renamed Navigazioni

The new issue of Rolling Stone Italia is out. Inside is the first article of Riccardo Raccis' Concerning Internet, renamed Navigazioni (Surfing)in a staff editing.

"Oh, well" Raccis commented about the new title.

The article, centered around the concept of virtual star, is graced by a new official picture of Raccis, also available at RaccisGallery.

June 23rd 2005 - L'Insolita Compilation bookable online. RaccisBits expanded

L'Insolita Compilation (The Unusual Compilation) can be booked online here. Book now to receive the gift, Insolita Raritą (you guessed it, Unusual Rarity), the exclusive 7" containing a CSI cover by Paolo Favati and a preview from the new Gianni Maroccolo project.

July 9th 2005 - New things at RaccisGallery

We have three new pictures of Raccis at RaccisGallery: Il Paradosso di Plazzi and Raccis and Friends. Two were shot on the Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) presentation at Abrigliasciolta. The third one is a piece of art from No Sleep's annual meeting at Sweden Rock Festival.

Delitti Esemplari is an online database of Italian noir. It covers anthologies to essays and hosts, starting today, both a permanent link and a review to RaccisWorld in the Online Writers section. Now a part of RaccisRing.

August 3rd 2005 - RaccisShop's new t-shirt

We have a new top stylish design for you at RaccisShop: two new urban ash-grey t-shirts, with a new slogan both in English and Italian. Next: underwear.

August 15th 2005 - Graphic changes and a new welcome page

If you look at the top of the page you'll notice a new additional menu. You can find it everywhere in RaccisWorld and it lets you access the most distant, self-sufficient, or offshot zones of RW. Their relative voices have been removed from the shard-menu which now holds a new reference to the welcome page, indicated as RaccisSphere. Just for the occasion we also developed a new welcome page celebrating the beauty of ASCII art, and Raccis.

August 16th 2005 - Happy birthday to Rael. New t-shirt and sticker at RaccisShop

She administrates RaccisForum, co-administrates RaccisBlog, invented the Avatars and is held responsible for many other things. Pay her a visit and party on cause it's her birthday.

We have one (actually two) new t-shirt and a new sticker at RaccisShop, all of them inspired by the new welcome page. This is the Naked Sound of Fear.

August 18th 2005 - RaccisBlog presents Project Cain, RaccisWorld's online novel

YES, boys and girls. RaccisWorld kicks off its new section, Caino (Cain). It's online, it's serial, it's written by the RaccisBlog people and tells the story of... yes... Cain. Created and directed by Raccis. RaccisBlogger Lorem kicks off the opus with chapter one. Stay tuned.
