January 1st 2005 - Happy new year from RaccisWorld. New menu

January 14th 2005 - Il Paradosso di Plazzi on Vigata.org

Luigi Paulon, known as Don Peppone in the Camilleri Fans Club mailing list, is the author of a review to Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) which is now featured on Vigata.org and can be read here. Paulon is planning to interview Raccis in the near future. Stay tuned.

 

 

January 18th 2005 - New interesting website in RaccisRing

Francesco Salvadori, our official composer and a 360 degrees mind, makes a debut as a web designer with his official website of artistic experimentation and other things, Strade Morte (the blog of the same name is still alive and well). The site also features L'enigma della Ziqqurat, the pro-Raccis short story confidentially known as Google's Ultimate Nightmare. Part of the RaccisRing.

 

 

January 20th 2005 - New RaccisShop section. RaccisGallery updated

Francesca Giannetto kicks off Requested by You, the new RaccisShop section dedicated to the items you'd always have liked to see. Francesca translated for us the "Raccis who" slogs to the dialect of her hometown, Messina. Email here If you've got an idea for the new RaccisWorld product.

Rael sent us a rare picture dating back lo last October. If memory doesn't fail us this is the only known image featuring both this über-fan and the man himself. Available in the Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) RaccisGallery.

January 23rd 2005 - RaccisShop still expanding

RaccisShop adds another new section. Home and Office, dedicated to all the those things that can  improve your life in your home and your office. Inside is our classic line of "Raccis who" mugs as well as a number of new entries: a soft pillow and, also available in Requested by You, two mouse pads with the Grinning Raccis Logo on and a sticker featuring RaccisBits' sun.

Raccis on Strade Morte and Thrillermagazine

Raccis lent his voice and camera to expanding Strade Morte, the alienating website of non-fun by Francesco Salvadori. Inside the Immagini section of Strade Morte you can find Latte (Milk), a Flash movie to which Raccis lends his vocal talent to illustrate a new standard in advertising. Don't miss the photo service - especially the picture of Raccis and Salvadori, also available for you in the RaccisGallery.

Luigi Paulon, already the author of a review to Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) featured on Vigata.org, comes back to review our man on Thrillermagazine.it. Yay Luigi. Go Luigi.

January 31st 2005 - La Tela Nera enters RaccisRing

La Tela Nera, another website sharing RaccisWorld's relaxing chromatic choices, is now part of RaccisRing. The La Tela Nera folks are responsible for an online interview to Raccis which should see the light next week. Stay tuned.

 

 

February 4th 2005 - RaccisWorld's welcome message

YES, boys and girls. Starting today a welcome message can be found in RaccisWorld's welcome page, featuring Riccardo Raccis sided by Giuliano Billi and Jacopo Corazza, two of the front actors in the burgeoning Florence music scene. February 10th 2005 - La Tela Nera interviews Raccis

La Tela Nera, the full-spectrum black culture website which recently joined RaccisRing, now hosts an interview to Raccis for the L'Appeso column. The interview, graced by some Halloween portraits of Raccis', has been released online and touches points such as literature, the world of publishing and who would win in a Lemmy vs. John Constantine fight. Also read the review to Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox), still by the La Tela Nera staff.

 

 

February 11th 2005 - "Re:" out in the bookstores... again

Remember issue 0 of "Re:", the magazine from Project Re:, which we announced to be out soon January 21st? Fear not if you haven't been able to find it in the bookstores. The Project Re: folks tells us the publication has been delayed to February 15th (so now you know when to rush to the bookstores). The community ranges from members of Rome's Saint Raccis' Chain to some of the men who inspired the Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox) characters. The good news: the FanMail is back online. The bad news: all of RaccisWorld's email account datas have been reset in the process, that including the Newsletter's addresses. April 28th 2005 - Random slogans in the welcome page

We have the first results from our RaccisContest: A Slogan for RaccisWorld. The first two winners are raccisians Francesco Salvadori - known at RaccisForum as AMboy - and Goddess of Thunder, with their slogans "Raccis: ed č subito moda" ("Raccis: instant fashion") and "RaccisWorld: not just for breakfast anymore". May 30th 2005 - Raccis as guest vocalist in L'Insolita Compilation

Raccis wrote and acted out the lyrics for Sala d'Attesa (Waiting Room), one of the songs Francesco Salvadori composed for L'Insolita Compilation (The Unusual Compilation), the collective musical project stemming from Gianni Maroccolo's forum and Maroccolo-patronized. L'Insolita Compilation is due to be out September 20th in a 2000-cd, 300-vynil run, both in Italy and abroad. June 16th 2005 - Details for the Ponte Magico awarding ceremony. Raccis in Varese

The Ponte Magico awarding ceremony will take place Saturday 25th in Lavena Ponte Tresa (Varese), piazza Sangiorgio (or, in case of rain, in the town gym) at 9 p.m. Plus, still Saturday, Raccis will be present at 7 p.m. at "Un Ponte per Ponte Magico", a meeting of the Abrigliasciolta series, in Varese, where he'll be reading some excerpts from Il Paradosso di Plazzi (Plazzi's Paradox). The coordinates are 8 via Albuzzi, Varese. Northern fans: join en masse.

 

 

June 20th 2005 - Rolling Stone out. Concerning Internet renamed Navigazioni

The new issue of Rolling Stone Italia is out. Inside is the first article of Riccardo Raccis' Concerning Internet, renamed Navigazioni (Surfing)in a staff editing.

"Oh, well" Raccis commented about the new title.

The article, centered around the concept of virtual star, is graced by a new official picture of Raccis, also available at RaccisGallery.

August 15th 2005 - Graphic changes and a new welcome page

If you look at the top of the page you'll notice a new additional menu. You can find it everywhere in RaccisWorld and it lets you access the most distant, self-sufficient, or offshot zones of RW. Their relative voices have been removed from the shard-menu which now holds a new reference to the welcome page, indicated as RaccisSphere. Just for the occasion we also developed a new welcome page celebrating the beauty of ASCII art, and Raccis.

 

 

August 16th 2005 - Happy birthday to Rael. New t-shirt and sticker at RaccisShop

She administrates RaccisForum, co-administrates RaccisBlog, invented the Avatars and is held responsible for many other things. Pay her a visit and party on cause it's her birthday.

August 23rd 2005 - New Rolling Stone. Francesco Salvadori creates the Naked Sound of Fear

The new Rolling Stone Italia is out there for you. Inside, page 186, the new item of Navigazioni (Surfing), where you can read the first of a future series of articles about the blogsphere.

On the RaccisWorld side Francesco Salvadori is back with a new psycho-musical loop. He developed it from the cut-up concept "the Naked Sound of Fear", an idea of Raccis', and you can enjoy it in the welcome page. Salvadori is the sole author of the RaccisWorld soundtrack loops.
